The association was founded in dec.2001 by Dr. Eva Todos,a romanian medical doctor so moved by the plight of an abandoned deformed 2 year-old girl in her care in the hospital, that she took Florina into her own care.

     Over time, her whole family grew to love the little Florina and decided to start a family home. Her sister,Florica Todos also donated her own plot of land her savings to buy building material(which was meant for her own house) to the association to build the family house.

2000—A plot of land in the village of Livada de Bihor(13 km from Oradea) was bought for Florica Todos’ own house.

Jul 2001—Using her own savings, Florica also bought building material and cultivated the land. Having run out of money, she intended to sell the land and buy a flat instead.

Aug—Nov 2001—After the family got to love Florina, the abandoned girl in their care, Florica decided to donated her plot of land for the Family home but they needed help for the project.

     Damian Yap was in Romania at the time and decided to the H4YEE would support the Association which would employ Florica as its director and also as the parent family for the home thus establishing a partnership with them.

Dec.2001—We plan to employ other trustworthy workers and social workers (all local) to work with orphanages and foster families and prepare ourselves for the task of caring for children.

     Our village, Livada de Bihor, is placed at 13 km near Oradea. There are 1600 inhabitants and 500 families. The villagers are working some of them in Oradea, but most of them are working at a factory department, from Oradea and at woodwork. Some of them work in agriculture.

     Their children are going at school in Livada, high school and university in Oradea. They want to find more about everything what is new.

     Some young people have access at computer school lab, but only few of them have a computer at home. So they can’t practice what they are learning at computer science classes. Some of them have friends in other places from Romania or World Wide and they are keeping in touch by e-mail.

      The village has a high potential for investments in agriculture, industry, services. Near by village there is a geothermal spring, but there are not founds yet to develop this domain, these natural gifts.
